One of the toughest trees in North America is the Burr Oak. Climate change, researchers say that this tree is one of the best that will be able to adapt to our changing climate. It also supports more than 2000 species of native insect 500 of which or caterpillars! This tree is also able to withstand fire and will live for hundreds of years.
